One Kran Red on Yellow Paper

Between November 1878 and January
1879 the One Kran on yellow paper and the One Toman
on blue paper (click here for photo) were printed.
Since both stamps were printed from the same clichés, the colored papers were used to indicate the denomination of each
stamp. Some remainders of the one Kran on white paper of 1878 were also
dipped in saffron for the same reason. Two settings of this stamp exist,
BD/CA similar to the white paper issue and DB/CA consisted of two
tête-bêche pairs.
The mint or unused copies of this issue are extremely
rare.
